Book Launch Outfit

On a related note, I wore this outfit to the book launch...

Dress from Uniqlo, belt and earrings from SM, shoes from Janylin, y'all recognize that Swatch watch, and that clutch from a friend.

A little something about Uniqlo, for the uninitiated: It's like a Japanese Gap, and I was introduced to it by my NY-based brother. The store in SoHo is packed with stylish people looking for reasonably priced (yes, even after involuntarily and mentally converting from dollars to pesos) finds with a bit of an edge. I bought a couple of things for my husband there too!

The dress is pretty versatile--I can wear the shell with or without a belt. It's loose so I don't feel self-conscious in it. It's got slits on the sides, so I don't feel so mumsy--there's quite a bit of leg exposed through those slits when I belt the dress. I can even wear this as a top if I use a wider cinch belt. Oh, Uniqlo. Someday, I'll be back.

Easter Outfit

Like I previously mentioned, I love Easter, and I think it's one of those occasions that call for something a little special. My outfit for the day:

White dress from SM (I'm not kidding!), tan sandals from CMG, bag from Aranaz

I bought this chic white dress a couple of months ago but hadn't had the chance to use it. I figured Easter was a great day to wear it--it's church appropriate, and as my mom calls it, "pustura" (one of the words that I will forever associate with mumsy. That and "class"!). The fabric's a bit see-through though so I had to wear some nude underthings. But still, I think I'll be getting a lot of mileage out of this dress!

A Li'l Spring in Your Step

SM, I heart you. Your oh-so-reasonably priced Parisian line of shoes has some really delightful designs now. My latest find:

Absolute cuteness! Perfect for spring! In fact, they are most definitely a part of my spring wardrobe for my upcoming trip to New York! They aren't entirely comfortable, but I've lasted a day with a fair amount of walking in them. They've gotten so many compliments already. And they're less than P800!

I'm due for a shoe-shopping trip before I leave in a couple of weeks. Will be posting more of my finds!
