If all the exclamation points haven't made it obvious, I am a fan of Cocomo (I have two suits which you can see here and here), and am thrilled that a brand I love wants to share some goodies with my readers!

Giveaway Alert! Who Wants to Win Free Stuff?:)

Hullo, dear readers!

There are three things I want to celebrate: 1) passing the 50-follower mark on Here, Tishie Tishie, 2) Christmas, and 3) my birthday! Stay tuned for my first-ever giveaway*! And the streak continues!

Today, at a Rustan's Supermarket event, I won this nifty little gadget...

A 16GB touch-screen iPod Nano! How cool is that?

And it's pink! I was gunning for the iTouch (or that 45-inch LCD TV) but, hey, I certainly ain't complaining! Thanks, Rustan's!

I was thinking of selling it, partly because I still have a perfectly functioning Nano, which Hamil gave me one Christmas. I didn't want it (and my husband) to feel bad! But Hamil himself encouraged me to keep it, saying it'll last me for years, and that I'm not in dire need of extra cash anyway. So I'm keeping it! Yay! I particularly like that it has a built-in clip--perfect for when I run!

I also got a lot of other stuff today: a gift basket from Rustan's, a basket of Wonka candy bars (I gave away most of them), a bag full of 3M stuff, and athletic gear (I gave away the shirts and the pants, and kept the hoodie). Not a bad day at all.:)

I Won! I Won! Part 3!

OK, not as major as a vacuum cleaner or a ref. But I didn't have one of these things so it was still pretty cool that I won this at a recent HSBC event...

I Won! I Won! Again!

How about that? I got another big prize at an event! Last time, it was a vacuum cleaner at the Electrolux event. Yesterday, I went to a Samsung home appliances event and got...

In case you can't read it, it says, "Samsung 7 cu. ft. Top Mount No Frost Refrigerator"! I won a ref! I won a ref!

It was the highlight of an otherwise dreadful day. It was so epically dreadful that our managing editor Kat remarked, "You're so calm. If that were me, I would've called in the army by now!" When things go terribly wrong, there comes a point when you're just done fretting about everything, and just have to soldier on. So that's where I am now--rockin' n' rollin'! Besides, I'd rather focus on the other good stuff that happened yesterday. Like...

...Seeing old friends at the SGV homecoming (more on that in a later post).
...Getting free Wendy's iced tea from Kat, who felt so bad for me that she surprised me with my drink of choice.
...Knowing that some pretty awesome people got my back.
...Having a husband who is there to defend me and support me and fight for me when I'm just too damn tired to fight. "You're my knight in shining armor," I told him. And he replied, "And you're my princess." Kinda cheesy, I know. But when you've got that to hang on to, no bad day can bring you down!

I Won! I Won!

A couple of years ago, I won a vacuum cleaner at an Electrolux event, but it has strangely, mysteriously disappeared. Today, I was at another Electrolux event and went home with...

...an even more bad-ass vacuum cleaner, the 75 Tornado!

Hamil and I had been meaning to get a vacuum cleaner to give our black shag rug a thorough cleaning. (Our customized couch, upholstered in a textured mocha fabric to keep it from looking all funky and dusty, would benefit from a good vacuuming too!) Today, Electrolux had Trivia Day, and my team emerged victorious. We had to answer three rounds' worth of questions about the brand, appliances in general, and Scandinavia. I was happy that we won, but was ecstatic when I found out what the prize was!

Hurray for free stuff! And a double hurray for free stuff that I actually need!
