As a nurse, I don't really have holidays, so I would have to say that my greatest gift this season is a day off that fell on the 24th! (thank you, oh dear manager who makes our schedule!) I got to spend Christmas eve with my family and that was pretty awesome! I'm not as fortunate come the 31st though, coz I'm on duty. Boohoo! But I'm still grateful that at least, I'm in the same country and not thousands of miles away from my quirky family!

ReplyDeleteThe best gift I received this Christmas is not extravagant, at all, but this Christmas I had a couple of patients come by the clinic to give their Christmas gifts. The gifts were not extravagant at all, but to receive something from them is just amazing. It's like they're telling me: "We love you Doctor Crickette" and I think they do! Hahahahahahahahaha!

ReplyDeleteThis year, the greatest gift I got is being able to see my Granny. I don't get to see her often because she lives in the States. And her doctor doesn't allow her to travel a lot because she was just installed with a pacemaker the other year, not to mention that she's already 94 y/o. But despite the circumstances, God blessed us this opportunity to be together this Christmas! May the holidays won't end yet so that we can still spend quality time together. :D

This year, my boyfriend got me a 1TB external hard drive. This is the best Christmas gift I received because I asked for this. I really needed this memory stuff because I love to download movies and my favorite TV series. Sometimes my laptop would slow down due to limited memory space. So this gift is really LOVE. :)

ReplyDeleteThe best gift I received this Christmas is my son Iñigo Miguel! This year, the Lord has blessed Cheng and I with a healthy baby boy. I never thought I'd be a stage parent, pero iba na pala talaga pag nandiyan na. You just can't help it. I'm so excited to play with him as he grows up. Maybe he can become the future franchise player of the warriors, hahaha!
The best christmas gift that I received was a bunch of clothes for my baby. I am such a cheapskate and I know newborns outgrow their baby outfits very fast, so i don'w want to spend so much money on stuff that my baby won't be using in just 3 mos. My friends gave me their hand-me-downs and I'm happy with that. They're almost as good as new, for how can babies overuse their clothes?

ReplyDeleteI got an iPod Touch in the office Christmas party raffle but that pricey gadget don't even come close to the best Christmas gift that I received this year. After 5 years and a half, my boyfriend introduced me to his family! Well he has reasons for prolonging the Meet the Parents thingy but I can't be more thankful that it finally happened this year. It was an awesome experience to spend time with his folks and instantly feel like I'm part of them.

Christmas came early this year for me and my husband. It felt like Christmas on October 4th at 7:27 pm when I gave birth to our first born, Johan Matthew. I could not ask for anything more come Christmas Day, as Johan is already the best gift ever.

The best Christmas gift I received this year is the gift of life.
ReplyDeleteTwo days ago while on our way to Manila from Antique I have witnessed an actual and live accident right in front of my eyes. A motorcycle bumped to a fallen tree branch and crossed over to the opposite lane while an SUV hit him making him fall from his motorcyle to the center of the highway, there was blood everywhere. I don't know if he's still alive now, I am grateful that me and my family are now back safe in Manila.
Sometimes we forget to say thanks to even simple things like waking up each day.
